Resources for Pregnant and Parenting Students

Are you balancing pregnancy, postpartum and/or parenthood while attending school?

If so, you may be among 1 in 5 college students in the country who are student parents!

We know it's a lot to manage pregnancy and/or parenthood, so we offer many resources at the College and in the community to help you and your family succeed.

皇家华人 College Policy GA-33 

皇家华人 College (the College) has a responsibility to prevent sex discrimination and ensure equal access to the College鈥檚 education programs and activities. As required by Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972, this policy prohibits discrimination against any student, employee, applicant for employment, or anyone who was participating or attempting to participate in the College鈥檚 education program or activity (collectively, College Community Members) based on their current, potential, or past pregnancy or related conditions.

To request formal supportive measures related to your pregnancy (such as taking a leave of absence or other academic accomodations) or to report discriminatory actions, please contact the Title IX Coordinator.

Local Childcare Resources

  • Unfortunately, 皇家华人 College does not offer on-campus childcare. To find local childcare providers in your area, we recommend using on ChildCare Aware of Washington's website. 
  • Need help paying for childcare? If you are receiving public benefits, including TANF (temporary assistance for needy families) and/or Basic Food (also known as EBT card, SNAP, or food stamps), you may qualify for free or reduced cost childcare. More information is available at the . We also recommend connecting with the Workforce Education Office on campus for additional support.
