Clubs & Organizations are an important part of Student Life at »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË College. Whether you are looking to meet new people, share a common interest, plan campus events or volunteer, there is a club for you! Being involved with a »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË student group is a great way to connect with the Gator community and build relationships with fellow students, staff and faculty.
There are usually around 50 clubs and organizations each year that focus a variety of topics and interest, including academics, multicultural issues, and social opportunities. Student clubs and organizations are open to all students, although few clubs have membership criteria.

The American Experience Club was created to give students the opportunity to learn and experience the American Culture. In our meetings we like to play fun games and educated our members about the American culture and values. We take students to places around Washington to show them all about the state! Football games, Mount Rainier and more!

I felt that »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË doesn't offer any classes and activities related to architecture, so I decided to create this club for friends like me who are interested in architecture. In this club, we will design architectural models and cut materials like foam board, hardboard, and acrylic sheets ourselves.

Boardmasters is a club that helps software development students prepare for the transition from undergraduate student to a professional in a specialized field. It is an opportunity for students to better their skills in each aspect of the interview process, especially, but not limited to, that of the whiteboarding portion of interviews. It is a great opportunity to help our fellow students gain the confidence and knowledge needed to get through interviews and land an internship or entry-level position in the industry.

Our club will be a place where Burmese students will be able to interact and make friends with other Burmese students. Since the number of new students coming from Myanmar has increased, it is the right time to set up the club. The club will help these new students in settling down and provide a community for them.

Here are the basic steps for starting a new club at »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË. If you have any more specific questions, contact Paz Clearwater at pclearwater@greenriver.edu.
1. Decide what your club will be about!
- A hobby or interest?
- A cultural or identity-based group?
- A field of study?
- A career or occupation?
2. Find other students with the same interest!
- You only need 6 students (including yourself) to get the process started!
- The Student Life office can help you find new members!
3. Find a faculty/staff advisor
- Your club advisor does not need to be an expert in the clubs interest area, they just have to want to support students!
- Advisor responsibilities are included in the Student Clubs Handbook 2024-25.
4. Complete the New Club Paperwork!

- Student Life staff will review your submission and provide acceptance or feedback within a week
- Review the Club Handbook
- New clubs will be invited to a Club Orientation session. After which, clubs can begin to request funding or hold events.
5. Begin Club Activity!
- Officially recognized clubs can use the Club Corner (SU250), schedule classroom space, use the Student Life work room, and request funding for activities from AS»Ê¼Ò»ªÈË Student Government
