The Practical Nursing Program at »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË College offers four pathways:
- Full-time LPN Program (Face-to-face)
- Part-time LPN Program (Hybrid)
- Full-time MA to LPN Program (Face-to-face)
- Part-time MA to LPN Program (Hybrid)
Full-time Program
- Duration: 3 quarters (Fall through Spring)
- Capacity: 40 students (based on available faculty)
- Application Dates: April 15th – June 1st (4 pm)
Part-time Program
- Duration: 6 quarters (Spring through Summer)
- Capacity: 24 students (based on available faculty)
- Application Dates: December 1st – January 15th (4 pm)
Note: A minimum grade of 2.5 is required in each nursing and supporting course.
About the Program
»Ê¼Ò»ªÈË College’s Practical Nursing Program prepares students to become licensed practical nurses through a comprehensive 90-credit curriculum that includes classroom instruction, campus lab practice, and community-based lab experiences. Graduates are eligible to take the NCLEX-PN exam, which is required to receive LPN licensure.

I-BEST Support
The Practical Nursing program incorporates I-BEST, providing additional in-class support for students who may face challenges in a traditional learning setting. An additional instructor works alongside the primary teacher to support students with:
- English language assistance
- Study skills and test-taking strategies
- Math skills and dosage calculations
- Career exploration
SIM Lab
»Ê¼Ò»ªÈË’s state-of-the-art Simulation (SIM) Lab provides hands-on training in realistic healthcare scenarios.
- Simulation Suite: Equipped with three beds and high-fidelity manikins (two adults, one pediatric, one obstetric, and one neonate) to simulate a range of patient needs.
- Observation Room: Faculty can monitor students’ simulation activities through a one-way window system, or assess activities using SimCapture, a cloud-based simulation management system.
- Debrief Room: Students can watch live or recorded simulations, followed by an in-depth discussion to enhance learning.
The SIM Lab is designed to give students an immersive, supportive environment to practice critical nursing skills before entering real-world clinical settings.
