You are a new student if you are brand new to college and have no previous college credits. 

STEPS TO GET STARTED



  1. Determine your Placement for English and/or Math- It is preferred to have at least one of your placements determined before moving forward. 

  2. Activate your ctcLink account and »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË Student Email Account

  3. Complete  - This orientation helps prepare you for success at »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË. You will need your ctcLink ID number which is provided at the bottom of your acceptance email, to access online orientation.

  4. IF APPLICABLE, complete the  or  for the current academic year 
    • Review additional funding options via our Pay for College page.
    • Review Financial Aid Priority Processing dates - Meeting the Priority Funding Processing Date allows the Financial Aid Office to place a hold on your account so your classes won't be dropped for non-payment while we are processing your aid.

  5. Attend New Student Advising and Enrollment (NSAE) Session – Once you have determined your placement, you will receive an email on how to sign up for the NSAE session.

  6. Review and note important dates and deadlines for the upcoming quarter

You are a current or returning student if you meet one of these criteria: 

  • I have applied to »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË College and have a ctcLink ID number OR  
  • I am currently taking courses at »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË OR  
  • I have previously attended »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË College and would like to return for the upcoming quarter 

STEPS TO GET STARTED

  1. Students returning to »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË after 1 or more years must . Students Returning less than 1 year will need to connect with the Office of the Registrar to reactivate their account.

  2. Determine your Placement for English and/or Math- It is preferred to have at least one of your placements determined before moving forward.

    Returning Students: Schedule an Appointment to meet with an advisor to discuss your degree progress and selecting courses for the upcoming quarter.

  7. Review and note important dates and deadlines for the upcoming quarter

You are a transfer student if you have attended a college other than »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË and have previous credits I would like to have applied towards my degree here.

STEPS TO GET STARTED

  1.  
    • Students who are transferring from another Washington State Community College will need to in order to associate your ctcLink account to »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË. 

  2. Complete  

  3. IF APPLICABLE, Activate your ctcLink Account and »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË Student Email Account

  4. IF APPLICABLE, complete the  or  for the current academic year. Find more information on which is most appropriate for you .
    • Review additional funding options via our Pay for College page
    • Review  Meeting the Priority Funding Processing Date allows the Financial Aid Office to place a hold on your account so your classes won't be dropped for non-payment while we are processing your aid.
  5. IF APPLICABLE, have official transcripts from previous colleges reviewed by connecting with your previous institution(s) to have official transcripts sent to »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË for evaluation.  
    • Visit any previous institution's website for information on how to request transcripts to be sent. 
    • Official transcripts should be sent to: 
      • Auburn, WA, 98092-3622 
        Office of the Registrar 
        12401 SE 320th Street 
    • Students must also complete the  in order for our Office of the Registrar to apply any eligible credits towards your degree. Results of your evaluation will be posted to your ctcLink account in approximately four weeks. Though it is not required to have this done before registration, it does help advisors to have a better idea of where you are at so you are not repeating courses you have already taken. 

  6. Determine your placement for English and/or Math – Students who have not completed English and/or math previously should take the placement assessment. 
    • Students who have completed English and/or math at another institution should submit their unofficial transcript to the  to be reviewed. 
    • Placement assessments last for two years after the initial placement. Students who have not received credit for English and/or math will need to retake the placement assessment(s) if placement was not used in those two years. 

  7. Schedule an appointment with an advisor to review your academic progress and determine eligible courses for the upcoming quarter.  
    • IF APPLICABLEit is recommended that students attend the New Student Advising and Enrollment (NSAE) session IF it has been a significant amount of time since you last completed courses at a college, OR if you attended a college outside of Washington State.
