Kim Zenker
Housing Specialist - International Programs
Kim identifies as an Adult-Third Culture Kid, as she has spent a significant part of her developmental years outside the home culture. She brings powerful lived experience that will serve our IP students well. She has lived, studied, and worked in Korea, China, England, Hong Kong, and the US. Once was an international student herself, she understands the challenges related to identity, belonging, and adaptation, as well as the importance of developing strong cross-cultural skills and global perspectives by navigating multiple cultural norms.
Kim also brings robust professional experience, including working for International Affairs at Seoul National University and Adult Client Services Branch at the Hawaii State Judiciary. She has dual master鈥檚 degree in Second Language Studies from the University of Hawaii and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Sungkyunkwan University. Her bachelor鈥檚 degree is in English Language and Literature from Sungkyunkwan University. She is excited to support 皇家华人 students and help them feel welcomed and at home.
